My estate agent stated this property is the remotest single dwelling in the south of Scotland and, certainly, we cling tenaciously to the civilization which can be a rough ride at times. Having become thoroughly disillusioned with various satellite broadband so-called ‘services’ I decided to DIY using a UK MIMO router.
As an engineer, I tried various locations and configurations in and around my property (which is a designated “not-spot” for 3G/4G) but with a little perseverance, I’m running $G just fine at a fraction of the satellite costs. I also purchased the high-gain omnidirectional antenna.
