How Does 4G Outdoor Router Work?
The outdoor router is a standalone 4G WiFi router with a CAT4 mobile modem, two SIM card slots, WiFi hotspots, and an Ethernet port.
After inserting a SIM card, the outdoor router connects to the 4G mobile networks and accesses the internet on its external antennas. The CAT4 modem provides a maximum 150Mbps download speed.
Then, the outdoor router provides mobile internet connectivity to wireless devices like smartphones, tablets, and home appliances linked to its WiFi hotspots. It also passes through the internet on wired connections such as computers, switches, or indoor routers connected to the PoE injector.
External 4G WiFi Internet
Directly receiving the best outside 3G/4G signals with the included external antennas, the 4G outdoor router bypasses structural barriers, eliminates signal interferences, and avoids speed attenuations. This device does exactly what I need. It was very simple to set up, has a study waterproof case.high quality case and rock-solid connectivity. It runs the open-source OpenWrt firmware, which means you can extend the functionality by downloading additional packages. I contacted the support because I had difficulty getting one of the packages to work and the support team were very responsive and helpful and are looking to include that feature in the next firmware build.
