How Does 4G Outdoor Router Work?
The 4G outdoor router is a standalone networking router with a mobile modem, dual SIM card slots, WiFi hotspots, and wired Ethernet connectivity.
After inserting a SIM card, the outdoor router connects to the internet through 4G LTE mobile networks with a maximum 150Mbps download speed.
It provides mobile internet to wireless devices like phones, tablets, and smart appliances linked to its WiFi hotspot. It also passes through the internet on wired connections such as computers, switches, or indoor routers connected to the LAN port on the PoE injector.
Outside 4G Internet Gateway
Directly receiving the best outdoor 3G/4G signals with the included external antenna, the outdoor router accesses the mobile internet. It bypasses structural barriers and indoor signal interferences from home appliances and RF sources. This is a great bit of kit. I’ve used it with a indoor router, a lan repeater and 150 metres of cat 6 cable to vastly increase the broadband speed I get in my house. My situation is being in a remote area broadband speed down the landlines is less than 2mbps and no mobile signal but found I could get a good 4g signal about 140 metres away. So outdoor router on a pole sticking out of the top of a hawthorn tree, cable dug down to house and with help via online chat with outdoor router guys managed to get it all talking to each other. By putting a WiFi extender in the loft it could bounce the signal around the house, but found it wasn’t as steady in the rain as running it down the lan cable with a lan repeater in the middle and now get 10 to 20 mbps so am a happy bunny.
